H1N1 Flu Information and Resources

With growing concern about the H1N1 virus, information is available from a variety of resources. Basic steps to prevent the flu include:

  • Encourage family, friends and co-workers to get the annual flu vaccine
  • Continue to be aware of facts about the H1N1 flu
  • To address potential staffing concerns, encourage friends and co-workers to think about developing contingency plans if family members become ill
  • Wash your hands frequently and/or have hand gel easily assessible
  • If your feeling under the weather, cover your cough with your sleeve, not your hand
  • If you have a fever, stay home for at least 24 hours after the fever has ended
