Awards Home » Awards » Past WinnersWinners VERNON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY – 2009 Video Award For the creation of an inspired video passport to the rich sensory experience of books. Harnessing the power of today’s most popular communication vehicle, and the vocal talents of Vernon Hills High School students and staff, the library successfully drew in a peak level of students to look beyond a book’s cover. This gentle video caught the imagination of the students, expertly guiding them into the setting of many wonderful books they might not otherwise experience. A librarian at another high school described the video as an amazing concept and incredible resource. Readers of all ages will be inspired to pick up the books featured in this well-paced and expertly targeted multimedia experience.
