Randee Hudson – 2009 Lifetime Achievement

For her vision, generosity, and a level of service to which all school librarians aspire. Randee’s star shines so bright, that it lights the way for libraries of all types throughout Illinois. Randee leads and supports as a library advocacy star; a grant-writing genius, and an always willing mentor. Her intelligence, humor, and creativity draws students to her door, and inspires deep support from teachers and school administrators. Randee purposefully trains her staff to have a positive interaction with everyone who comes to the library. Randee has taught by example that everyday is an opportunity to improve the library and the lives of all students.
