Kathy Caudill - 2008 Trustee of the Year

For the passion and commitment she brings to the table, helping raise awareness of library issues, as well as the spirits of her colleagues. Kathy’s unique mix of exuberance, expertise, and attention to detail has been a priceless resource for libraries throughout Illinois. The success of the new NSLS Trustee Training program is due in no small part to her devotion to the concept that better trained trustees lead to more effective leadership, resulting in better libraries. Keeping educated on library issues is always a challenge, but Kathy makes it look easy, as she does with the admirable balancing of family, career, and numerous volunteer obligations. Kathy’s commitment to libraries and community service inspires by example, and with joy.
