Information for Trustees

The American Heritage Dictionary defines a trustee as "a member of a board elected or appointed to direct the funds and policy of an institution."

Each public library has a board of trustees with roles and responsibilities. There are a set of core competencies that trustees should master. NSLS has also prepared a brochure that defines a trustee and the duties involved.
