Library and Community Leaders Honored by

In recognition of exceptional
contributions to library service, library advocacy efforts and innovative
partnerships, the North Suburban Library System (NSLS) has announced
the winners of its 2004 Membership Awards. The award recipients will
be honored at the annual NSLS banquet on March 18 at the Chevy Chase
Country Club in Wheeling.
The WAUCONDA AREA PUBLIC LIBRARY
DISTRICT has been recognized as Library of the Year. "The library's
vision of service, as well as their understanding of the need to stay
competitive and vital as a community resource, are examples for all
to follow," says NSLS Director Sarah Long.
